Energy Systems Design Laboratory
Designing Next-Generation Energy Systems through Control Technologies
Complex systems, such as electric power systems and industrial and transportation equipment, have become increasingly difficult to address using a single academic discipline alone. Our laboratory tackles these challenges through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates control engineering, power engineering, and power electronics. Specifically, our research focuses on high-performance optimal control for smart grids, renewable energy systems, and power electronic systems; control-based power system stabilization; and the design and control of next-generation power converters.
